Eric Campbell (Australian political activist)
Eric Campbell (11 April 1893 – 2 September 1970) was a solicitor in New South Wales, Australia and the leader of the New Guard Fascist movement.
He was gassed twice in World War 1.
He returned from WW1 on board the Anchises in April 1919.
Major Campbell was admitted as a solicitor to practice in NSW in 1919. He married Nancy Browne 22 October 1924 at Memagong Station, Young.
==Electoral politics==
Campbell established the Centre Party in December 1933 as an offshoot of the New Guard, and unsuccessfully contested Lane Cove at the 1935 state election, polling 16.7 percent of the vote.〔(Lane Cove – 1935 (Roll: 19,409) ) – NSW Elections. Retrieved 12 June 2014.〕
